TONIC CBD: Harvest 2018
Inspired by CBD’s effect on her own anxiety, Brittany Carbone founded TONIC CBD out of her Long Island kitchen with her husband Erik. To further their commitment to organically sourced ingredients, they started their own hemp farm in Western New York. This video celebrates the first harvest along with the intention and integrity behind everything they do.
HB Field Trip: Community Harvest with TONIC
One special weekend in October saw the launch of Humble Bloom’s HB Field Trip series with a community harvest lead by TONIC CBD. Located on Tonic's farm in Berkshire, NY, this first Field Trip brought together the diverse group of people that is the cannabis community. The event culminated in a music-filled bonfire after experiencing a day of illuminating workshops, delicious meals, a thoughtful panel discussion, and the joy of harvesting newly legalized industrial cannabis plants. Forever Against Animal Testing:
The Body Shop and Cruelty Free International
On October 4, 2018, World Animal Day, The Body Shop and Cruelty Free International brought 8.3 million signatures against cosmetic animal testing to the United Nations Headquarters in New York City to create a global framework to end animal testing while advancing the United Nations' sustainable development agenda.
The celebration of these signatures is a culmination of more than 30 years of advocacy between The Body Shop, the first international beauty brand to campaign against animal testing in cosmetics, and its long-time campaign partner Cruelty Free International, the first global, non-profit organization dedicated to ending cosmetic product and ingredient testing on animals.
